And our winner is… Sam Ingraffia’s “Silent Night in Muncie”!

“Silent Night In Muncie” Wins The WMM Kickstarter Extra Film Competition

Congratulations to our Kickstarter Extra Film Competion winner Sam Ingraffia and his script “Silent Night In Muncie”. Last Wednesday night was a fun night at the downtown independent as everyone who came out voted on our six finalists’ pitches and picked our winner. There was a bit of drama, though, as we had realized we had a tie and that somehow the winning ballot found its way inside the bottom a giant speaker that no one could fit their arm into, preventing us from finding out who the winner was. We finally got the ballot, though, and after 3 months of waiting, we finally had our winner. This was all captured on videotape and will make for a pretty hilarious short at some point. Anyway, Sam got $2,000 to go make his short, and we can’t wait to see it. Congratulations Sam, and thanks to all our members who came out, voted, and helped us choose our winner. Also, to all our finalists who weren’t chosen, we loved your pitches, and we’re hoping you go out and make your films anyway, and then let us screen them. Thanks to everyone who’s been a part of the contest over the last few months, and lastly, to everyone who donated to the cause. Without your support, none of this happens. We can’t wait to show you all 7 of the films.

Congrats to Sam!!! I voted for his. I also really liked the one about the kid and his dad and the puppy dog and death.
